President's Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities
The Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the President and the Secretary of Health and Human Services on matters relating to programs and services for persons with intellectual disabilities. Since 1974, the Committee has organized national planning, stimulated development of plans, policies and programs and advanced the concept of community participation in the field of intellectual disabilities. The PCRM website provides information on the history of this committee, current committee members, publications and reports, and links to important mental retardation resources.
